Saint X

Saint X by Alexis Schaitkin

If you watch the news, you may have heard similar stories occuring in places such as Aruba and Myrtle Beach…disturbing tales of teenage girls gone missing from vacation locations.

The Premise: Alison disappears on the last night of her family vacation on Saint X.  Alison is a college student, vacationing with her family. She was a little flirty, interested in drinking and having fun with some of the locals, but did that lead to her demise?

Claire is Alison’s little sister.  Her whole life has been affected by what happened to Alison.  Years later, she runs into someone that was a person of interest in Alison’s disappearance/murder.  She becomes obsessed with figuring out what happened to her sister.

I haven’t decided yet what I think of the ending.  At first I didn’t care for the way the book wrapped up.  But then, I find I keep thinking about it, which is always a good thing!

Pick it up and give it a try, let me know what you think!
