The Late Bloomers Club

The Late Bloomers’ Club by Louise Miller

A nice, light book to start the new year. Nothing deep, no big plot twist, just a nice story with a bit of family drama and romance.

The premise: Nora and Kit are sisters. Nora, the oldest, is the responsible one. She runs the family diner and takes care of everyone. Kit is the baby, a filmmaker who has come home for some help funding the project that will “make her career”.

An old neighbor bequeaths her property to the sisters, which could be the answer to their problems.

A story of a quaint New England town, reminiscent of Stars Hallow (for any Gilmore Girl fans out there).

If you are looking for a happy, light ready….I thought this one was quite enjoyable.
