Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson
How can I not read a book that starts with a book club gathering?
The premise: Our main character, Amy, is a good mom, a good friend, a good wife and a good neighbor. She lives in a perfect (if not occassionally catty) suburben neighborhood. Her and her best friend Charlotte host a neighborhood book club. All is well and good until a new neighbor stops by to join book club.
Roux has a strong, yet charming personality and takes charge of the gathering right away. As the evening progresses, Amy realizes there is something dangerous about Roux.
While the story may be a little far-fetched and over the top, it is enjoyable and kept me turning the pages to see what the heck was going to happen.
I’d be interseted to hear what you think of it!
