Everyone Brave is Forgiven

Everyone Brave is Forgiven by Chris Cleave

If I hadn’t heard someone wax poetic about this book, I probably wouldn’t have picked it up because I’m currently going through a “please, no more WWII books” phase. However, I’m glad I ignored myself and listened to the recommendation.

The premise – it’s a WWII love story, but it’s also a very interesting story! The charactors are endearing and the conversations are witty and amusing (I give Chris Cleave high marks on entertaining and realisitic dialog). AND…interestingly, the story is inspired by real-life lover letters between Cleaves grandparents! I love that!

If you like historical fiction and haven’t picked this one up, now might be a good time to do just that!
