Everyone is Beautiful

Everyone is Beautiful by Katherine Center

My work book club picked this for our February read.  I am a big Katherine Center fan. In fact, I think this is the 4th book of hers I’ve read. While this was not my favorite of her books, it did have me laughing in the beginning, worried in the middle and feeling a little weepy at the end.

The Premise: Lanie, her husband Peter and their 3 young boys have just left their home in Houston to move into a small apartment in Boston so Peter can work on his hopeful career as a professional musician.

With Peter busy at work, Lanie is left trying to manage settling in and getting the lay of the land while constantly wrangling the 3 boys.  It seems like Lanie is fighting a losing battle and the things she endures made me laugh out loud several times.

When Lanie decides to put some self-care on her priority list, Peter supports her, until it reaches a point where it threatens their marriage.

Like all of Center’s books, this one has all the feels.
